This Party Sucks
This Party Sucks show that ill-tempered attitude, fast-and-furious velocity, and mania-inducing, shredding style still make up all the ingredients of a cranky, sing-along anthem.
They literally, tongue-in-cheek or with true snarling menace, take aim at the lame world with a spiteful barrage of gritty musical whiplash. Whether the freeway, cops, landlords, co-workers, or other bands, they all suck hard. Cynicism, nihilism, and disgust all pile up in this lyrical trash bin.
So, while some yearn for melodic punk to describe dreams, ambitions, and heartache, this is a pissed-off alternative, an anarcho clamor just like early Fear or hatecore to deliver the bad news: the world is full of hookers not heroes, crackheads not careerism, and dingy-ass 7-11s, not picture-perfect tourist
cities.
